Senior BI Developer wanted for an immediate start

Location: Hertfordshire

Length: 3 months with possibility of extension (Hybrid)

Hours: 37.5 hours a week, Mon – Fri

Technical Skills:

• Extremely good SQL script writing/data mining skills is essential
• Extremely good knowledge in SSIS and SSAS with MDX
• Knowledge of C# programming language will be an advantage
• Experience of QlikView/Power BI or any other reporting tool such as Tableau/Alteryx
• Insight to machine learning with Python programming language will be an advantage

Main responsibilities of the role:

• Conduct effective and timely analysis of system requirements and produce appropriate cost-effective application solutions to meet the needs of customers within the framework of the service IM&T strategy
• Develop the business intelligence systems on an on-going basis to ensure it meets the changing needs of the Trust
• Develop highly complex queries using SQL to interrogate the databases and adapt them on an on-going basis
• Ensure that database resources are routinely monitored and managed. This will require the post holder to engage with the IT technical teams on a regular basis to ensure system resilience is maintained.
• Set up SSIS processes to extract and manipulate complex data from systems created outside the department
• Provide support to BI Analysts to performance tune and optimise queries
• Develop reports using SSRS for the Business Intelligence portal
