Our client is seeking a Senior Business Support Assistant to provide efficient and effective business support processes associated with statutory requirements, including assessments and monitoring. This role sits within their Children and Family Services and is a hybrid opportunity with flexible office days. There will be an expectation to be in the office for initial induction/training.
The successful candidate will have proficient skills in Excel, excellent attention to detail and will retain quality whilst working to tight deadlines with high volumes. As well as, experience of financial reconciliation and good numeracy skills.
Responsibilities:
- To work with and liaise confidently with a range of internal and external agencies to ensure children receive our services and gather/monitor appropriate information
- To be responsible for providing a comprehensive range of business support services both administrative and secretarial functions for Officers working within the service, utilising good organisational skills to co-ordinate local and statutory requirements
- To create, develop and maintain information systems and processes including Microsoft office packages to produce reports to assist services and officers across the department
- To support the administration of complex databases ensuring all necessary updating systems are in place, accurate and to ensure effective systems are maintained to allow the supply of information for auditing purposes – allowing the information to be analysed efficiently and effectively across service areas
- Undertake a range of financial routines, including imprest and p-card arrangements and monitor budgets associated with service requirements
- Make diary appointments and arrange appointments and meetings for managers and manage daily routine inboxes for senior management staff
Requirements:
- NVQ level 2 or equivalent in literacy and numeracy
- Trained and proficient in all aspects of the Microsoft Office Suite of software
- Relevant experience of working within a busy office environment
- Experience of creating and maintaining Access databases and working with spreadsheets
- Experience in a range of admin procedures
- Experience of undertaking routine financial procedures and processes such as Budget Monitoring
- Diary management and facilitating meetings
- Good organisational and record keeping skills
