Interim Senior Communications Officer Immediately Required
Our client, a well-respected NHS organisation in the South West, is looking for a Senior Communications Officer to come on board on a temporary basis for a 12 month contract to provide maternity cover

Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract: 12 Months
Hourly Rate: £17.63 - £20.99 via Umbrella
Responsibilities:
- Develop a proactive approach to gathering good news stories, interviews and case studies from around the Trust for both internal and external audiences
- Develop, implement and evaluate communications plans and campaigns to support key Trust-wide initiatives
- Responsible for the continued development and effective use of the communications planning calendar
- Pitch, arrange and supervise media filming, ensuring that the end product reflects the RUH’s values and objectives.
- Produce business as usual internal and external communications products such as scripting, recording and editing our regular executive film and producing slides for our all staff brief
- Provide expert communications advice and support to colleagues across the Trust, developing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and partner
- Lead on the production of high quality communication materials, including social and digital media, to support campaigns and initiatives across the Trust
- Lead on the development of innovative approaches to communications, including our use of digital screens
- Responsible for liaison with external agencies to arrange print and distribution of Trust publications, ensuring high quality publications that are produced on budget
- Assist in the coordination, production and publication of key documents such as the Trust’s Annual Report and Quality Accounts
- Contribute to development of the communications strategy and objectives, and supporting policies and processes
- Deputise for the Communications Manager or Deputy Head of Communications when required
Essential Skills:
- Demonstrable experience developing engaging communications
- Media management/coordination experience
- Social media content creation and coordination
Desirable Skills:
- Membership of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations/Marketing (CIPR/CIM)
- NHS experience
