Senior Communications Officer
Venn Group is currently working with a University in London for a Senior Communications Officer to support the organisation
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Develop communications strategies that promote key institutional messages, and key institutional leaders, to external and internal audiences
- Source news stories that enhance the reputation and brand, and convey them elegantly in written and digital formats
- Find and place stories and individuals in media and professional publications using your network of professional and industry contacts
- Write speeches, letters and other content for university leaders and key stakeholders
- Upload content to digital platforms, including a CMS (content management system)
- Produce regular internal and external communications bulletins
It is essential the candidate has:
- A minimum BA Hons. and professional experience in communications, public relations, or journalism
- Experience in creating multi-pronged, multi-channel communications strategies
- Experience of coaching key internal and external stakeholders to deliver speeches or public presentations in a professional setting and at professionally prestigious events
- Ability to build relationships, network, build contacts across the organisation and externally in order to understand what drives UEL and influences decisions to enhance UEL’s reputation and brand
Job Title: Senior Communications Officer
Salary: £41,216 per annum inclusive of London Weighting
Duration: Permanent
WFH: Approximately 2 days in the office/3 days at home, some weeks vice-vera. Not looking to hire someone who would be entirely remote
