Interim Senior Communications Officer
Based in London, mostly remote
Length: 3 months initially

A London Local Authority is looking to recruit an interim Senior Communications Officer who will develop and manage various communications to support the Council’s Housing Partnership.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Communications Officer:
- Creating weekly internal and external communications newsletters, developing stories and using Mail Chimp
- Updating the website content regularly
- Working on and developing reactive lines at pace for press releases and media statements
- Working with teams across the Housing Partnership to develop communications and guidelines for operational staff
- Attending meetings with the wider Council communications team
- Taking care of the communications inbox and monitoring enquiries
Skills, experience and knowledge required of the Senior Communications Officer:
- Experience in generalist communications, developing content and managing campaigns
- Knowledge and experience in a Local Government communications environment
- Ability to work independently and at pace
- Knowledge/experience in housing would be desirable
