Job Title: Housing Litigation Locum
Job description: We have a fantastic opportunity to join a Local Authority in the North West as a Senior Housing Lawyer on a temporary basis. The client is looking for someone to start immediatley, on a full-time basis for 3 months, with possible further extension.
Main Responsibilities:
- Handling a full caseload of matters covering most aspects of Social Housing law
- Caseload includes Anti-social Behaviour injunction applications, claims for possession, housing disrepair, and estate management issues
- Provide general advice to Council departments and other providers of social housing on housing law issues
- Conduct proceedings and act as an advocate in the County Court and Magistrates' Court
Hourly Rate: £40 - £55ph, DOE
The ideal candidate would be a Qualified Solicitor. Recent Housing Law experience is essential.
