Previous NHS experience is essential for this role.

Job Purpose:

The Senior Improvement Project Manager will offer outstanding support and advice

on implementing improvements.

Duties:

• Ensures the improvement/transformation project is project managed in line with both good project management practice and improvement approaches.
• Puts in place systems to ensure that the project progress is clearly understood and highly visible, highlighting issues and escalating them rapidly in an appropriate manner. Coaches colleagues undertaking improvement.
• Offers support to a range of colleagues from every part of the organisation, switching from schedulers to consultants to board members; a sophisticated and nuanced approach to delivering support is required throughout the project cycle.
• Has a deep understanding of improvement approaches and extensive practical experience in delivery and supporting improvement efforts, ideally in a healthcare context.
• Represents the Improvement Team at internal and external meetings and events.
