Senior Manager Certification Regime (SMCR) Specialist - Assistant Vice President
We are seeking a Senior Managers Certification Regime (SMCR) Specialist to join a bank on a initial contract basis within the Planning Department/Company Secretarial and Central Support Group. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the banks compliance with regulatory obligations under the Senior Managers Regime.
- Keep the bank's Management Responsibilities Map and supporting documentation up to date.
- Maintain and manage all SMCR documentation, including Job Descriptions, Reasonable Steps, Learning and Development Plans, and Handover documents.
- Prepare SMCR regulatory filings as required.
- Prepare briefing notes, presentations, and reports for senior management related to the Senior Managers Regime.
- Monitor regulatory developments and propose changes to systems and controls in response to emerging trends and regulatory changes.
- Provide guidance, briefings, and training to SMFs and other teams as needed.
- Assist in SMCR-related projects to enhance or develop processes.
- Previous experience in the Senior Managers and Certification Regime is desirable.
- Knowledge of SMCR regulations and banking compliance is essential.
- A higher diploma, qualification, or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
