Venn Group are currently partnered with a global leading Asset Manager who are looking to urgently fill a Senior Trading Systems Support Analyst to join their busy Sell Side Unit. The successful candidate will have good experience liaising with front office traders, dealing with stakeholders and IT vendors. The successful candidate WILL MUST have experience sitting on the trading desk floor working and supporting traders as First Line support.
Role Description:
As a Senior Trading Systems Support Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the daily IT activities for two busy Trading Desks. Your role will involve providing ongoing support for trading systems, managing, and implementing new requirements, and conducting regular upgrades. Additionally, you will support the Electronic Global FIX gateway/infrastructure and connections to exchanges and clients. You will work closely with traders to identify and resolve trading issues, ensure smooth order routing, handle electronic orders, manage positions, calculate commissions, and monitor profit and loss.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support daily IT activities for two busy Trading Desks (Cash & Algorithmic/Program Trading)
- Maintain and upgrade Cash & Electronic Desk Trading systems
- Manage Electronic Global FIX gateway/infrastructure and connections
- Setup, certify, and configure new FIX clients for various trading desks globally
- Collaborate with traders to resolve trading issues, order routing, and position keeping
- Work on additional business projects
- Provide documentation on customized scripting solutions and infrastructure
- Diagnose operational problems and collaborate with external vendors
- Liaise with internal support organizations and expedite issue resolution
Skills:
- Solid working experience with FIX protocol and FIX Gateway Infrastructure
- Strong experience with Equity Trading Platforms and Electronic Trading
- Experience with Electronic Trading Client Connectivity (FIX) and FIX Certification
- Algorithmic interface design and analysing message formats and output
- Understanding of FIX business requirements from institutional clients/brokers and organizing physical connectivity
Desirable:
- SQL knowledge to develop queries and extract data from SQL Databases
- Desirable development skills in Java & Python
- 5+ years of experience in the Securities and Trading industry, Equities, Portfolio Trading and/or Algorithmic Trading
