Our client, a global technology organisation, urgently require an experienced Software Developer to undertake a long term contract.
In order to be successful, you will have the following experience:
- Experienced within Java/Python and AWS Development
- Able to write clean, secure and well-tested code
- design solutions and services with security controls embedded
- SC Cleared
Within this role, you will be responsible for:
- Python/Java, AWS development
- Availability and capacity management, service components to ensure they meet business needs and performance targets
- Development process optimisation
- Support specific activities to improve development processes and spot or identify obvious deficiencies
- Design solutions and services with security controls embedded, specifically engineered with mitigation of security threats as a core feature
- Programming and build (software engineering): collaborate with others when necessary to review specifications
- Use the agreed specifications to design, code, test and document programs or scripts of medium-to-high complexity, using the right standards and tools
- Establish design patterns and iterate them
- Fix faults following agreed procedures and carry out agreed maintenance tasks on infrastructure
- Translate logical designs into physical designs
- Effectively document all work using required standards, methods and tools, including prototyping tools where appropriate
- Build and test simple interfaces between systems
