A large public sector Education organisation is urgently looking for a Specialist Contracts Manager.

Your duties will include:

• To act as the lead contact for the project, overseeing the team who have been assembled to provide the technical and procurement inputs required for the project
• To set the strategy for the procurements, agreeing which contracts should be prioritised, and confirming the target programme for the processes
• Supporting work to prepare for procurement, ensuring asset data is available and managing the team developing the  of specification
• Setting the KPIs for each contract
• Commenting and providing technical inputs to the procurement documentation developed for each procurement
• Providing inputs into responses to queries raised by bidders during the procurement process
• Support the evaluation of the submitted bids, overseeing the team producing the tender report that concludes the evaluation
• Support the award of contract, mobilising the contractor once appointed
• Support the implementation of the new CAFM system that is being implemented, in as much as it relates to the contracts being procured
• Attendance and input to regular progress meetings required to progress procurements, progressing actions and ensuring the team have the information they need to carry out their tasks
• Attendance and input to governance required to oversee the project

The successful candidate should have:

• An understanding of health and safety legislation and building construction and maintenance
