Specialist Behaviour Support Worker - Urgently Required
Our client, a highly regarded charitable housing association, is urgently looking for experienced Support Workers to provide physical, domestic, emotional and social care to their customers with learning disabilities. This will involve promoting social inclusion and independent living to maximise customers’ skills and choices.
Position: Support Worker
Period: 2 months (Possibility of Extension)
Shifts: Monday to Sunday (on a shift basis)
Hours: 35 hours a week
Location: London
Rate: £11- £14 per hour
DBS: Enhanced
Duties of the role will include:

Support clients with learning disabilities and complex needs

Observe, monitor and plan appropriate intervention to modify and resolve challenging behaviour

Collaborate with external agencies and signpost customers for additional support

Review, design and implement behavioural intervention plans

Set and measure goals and objectives and ensure they are being met

Participate in the support planning and risk management

Support customers to develop independent living skills as appropriate to the individual needs

Assist customers in undertaking domestic tasks including practical assistance

Carry out support duties to enable customers to integrate into the community

Ensure safe and accessible environment for all customers

Maintain up to date accurate records
Essential requirements:

Minimum 2 years’ experience working with customers with complex needs/challenging behaviour

Good working awareness of accommodation projects and services that can help vulnerable people so they can gain independence

Ability to cope positively with challenging and diverse behaviour
