Support Worker / Navigator Required X2
Duration: Temporary (6 weeks possible extension)
Location: Coventry, Warwickshire
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 4pm
Rate: £9.81 per hour inclusive of holiday pay
An opening has arisen for an immediately available Support Worker/Navigator for an organisation in Coventry. This position will require candidates who have extensive knowledge and experience of assisting Homeless clients into accommodation and assisting with support for independent living.
The successful candidate have experience in a similar position and be responsible for:
- Provide continued face to face support on a case by case basis
- Communicating and engaging with homeless customers around the City Centre
- Navigating clients through the process, building rapport and trust to support the client through the journey
- Signpost service users to specialist services when required
- Working between 5-7 cases at any one time
- Successfully providing accommodation and then ongoing support for individual needs
- Advising on options for accommodation
The successful candidate will have:
- An enhanced DBS
- Knowledge of POVA and SOVA
- Driving Licence and ability to use their own vehicle for work
