Support Worker – Mental Health
An exciting opportunity has arisen within a well-established mental health charity based in Oxfordshire for a Support Worker to support vulnerable adults with Mental Health issues.
Type: Temporary
Length: 3 months, ongoing
Location: Abingdon
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Shifts: Monday to Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm
With flexibility for other shifts
Rate of Pay: £11.73 per hour inclusive of your holiday pay
Daily duties:

Working with vulnerable adults within a residential mental health support service

Supporting service users through their mental health recovery and managing their emotional and practical needs

Helping service users to manage their mental health needs, engage in activities and within the community

Assist with monitoring the safety of the building, ensuring service users are checked on and are entering and exiting the building as expected

Engaging with service users to support with companionship, advice and help to become more independent

Review and assess progress of individuals and offer support and signposting as appropriate
Essential requirements:

An Enhanced DBS from within the last three years or the willingness to obtain one

An enthusiastic attitude and keen interest in supporting vulnerable people

A full UK Driving Licence with access to your own vehicle
