Sustainability Manager
Venn Group are working with a major London University to secure the services of a Sustainability Manager.
Salary: £60,000-£70,000 depending on experience
Duration: 12-month FTC (Maternity Cover)
Location: London (hybrid)
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Energy reduction projects going on across campus – helping to achieve the University's net-zero by 2030 target
- Active energy management, working with the service provider onsite to optimise efficiency
- Monitoring the university’s performance in respect of its carbon footprint, report on KPI’s, produce monthly dashboard and monthly report
- Supporting and coordinating the procurement of energy and utilities; managing utilities contracts
- Ensuring all sustainability policies publicly available are up to date, along with sustainability web-pages in order to maintain People & Planet score
- Overseeing their Green Impact programme
- Managing systems and processes for recording, monitoring and managing utilities consumption and costs; manage associated budgets and budget planning;
- Undertaking environmental audits and present reports, namely waste audits
- Supporting the Head of Operations in the procurement and supply of utilities; manage associated contracts and develop effective monitoring/reporting systems.
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience in planning and managing effective communications to promote sustainability
- Strong stakeholder engagement
