 Venn Group is pleased to partner with a Public Sector Service in the Midlands to recruit an IT Professional to support in all phases of the project lifecycle for a new Replacement Mobilising Solution and its components. The successful post-holder will be one who’s experienced in designing large-scale business system solutions and system integrations.

Key duties:

-         Lead business analysis activities including running requirements gathering workshops and the creation of requirements documentation following industry standard best practices

-         Work closely with Joint Service Control Room staff, crews, officers and members of Senior Leadership Teams, to understand and document current and future processes

-         Liaise with external solution providers

-         Research and identify potential solution options; carry out a formal evaluation using structured criteria and make a solution recommendations based on evaluation results

-         Work closely with Joint Service users and the external solution provider to create a core solution design, including functional, data entity and database designs, security etc. and covering production and all pre-production environments

-         Work closely with key project stakeholders, including multiple third parties, and resources from local organisations

-         Lead Joint Service activity to create required interfaces using Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes or other interface mechanisms

-         Develop detailed implementation plans including rollback and contingency planning and the preparation of Go/No Go criteria. Facilitate system implementation activities

-         Facilitate full systems integration testing

-         Record all problems identified and facilitate resolution activities with Joint Service teams and external solution providers as necessary

-         Facilitate retesting and regression testing

-         Work closely with other Joint Service teams to facilitate provision

 Further requirements:

-         Provide ongoing system support following implementation

-         Excellent knowledge and experience of working with previous and current versions of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio

-         Proficiency in Data warehouse provision

-         Ability to deliver system training courses

-         Security vetting procedures at the appropriate level will be requested for the successful applicant

-         Candidates must have a valid driving licence
