Test Analyst (QA)

Are you a skilled Test Analyst with experience in finance, product control, and accounting systems? We are currently seeking a talented professional to join as a Test Analyst on behalf of a prestigious financial services firm. In this role, you will be an integral part of their IT project team, playing a vital role in identifying, preparing, documenting, and executing validations of IT systems and operational changes for successful implementation.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Business Analysts (BAs) and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify and document high-level validation scenarios within the test scope.
• Analyze scenarios and utilize a risk-based approach to create comprehensive Test Scripts covering core functional, custom functional, end-to-end integration, and non-functional requirements.
• Execute Test Scripts for Systems Testing (ST) and Systems Integration Testing (SIT), meticulously documenting results.
• Identify and document defects, providing valuable insights for improvement.
• Support the creation of control files and facilitate the setup of pre and post-requisites.
• Demonstrate the ability to analyze requirements and formulate test cases for various positive and negative scenarios.
• Develop and track end-to-end Test Cases involving different test participants.
• Log and track defects, ensuring their resolution.
• Provide regular Test Status Reporting.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and collaborate with users to review SIT/UAT results.
• Contribute to daily trade inputs for downstream testing.
• Effectively manage stakeholders, liaising daily with Development, Quality Assurance, Business Analysts, Project Managers, and Business Users from various teams including Front Office, Operations, Finance, Regulatory Reporting, and Risk.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years of test experience, including a background in investment banking.
• Essential experience in Database (DB) Testing and proficiency in SQL.
• Familiarity with DB vs. txt 
• Solid understanding of Trade Lifecycle.
• Knowledge of various Product Types, such as Bonds, Equity, ECM, DCM, FX options, FX swaps
• Proven ability to work effectively with a complex matrix of business SMEs and IT teams.
• Good command of the MS-Office suite, with experience in MS Project.
• Deep understanding of Financial Accounting and/or Regulatory reporting business areas.
