Traffic Signal Engineer
Start: ASAP
Rate: £450 per day (Inside IR35)
Hybrid Working Arrangement: Midlands
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with stakeholders involved with the Cross City project to provide technical assistance on traffic signal related issues
- Ensure that the design work is compliant
- Review the preliminary traffic signal design drawings for general drawing errors, problems with the civils layout, method of control, equipment selection and wider area control method;
- Review the TR2500 forms for errors, equipment selection, timing checks etc; and
- Review and provide feedback to the traffic signals team on all project work related to Cross City scheme
- For all metro schemes collate information on all outstanding work items that require completion
- Liaise with Kier UTC to ensure that communications are established to the traffic signals and that UTC bit patterns are correct to their requirements
- Attend Site Acceptance Tests to ensure that all items are completed and the paperwork is fully signed off by all parties
Requirements:
- The applicant must have experience of traffic signal design
- Working through the approval process for traffic signals design and be competent at reading and understanding traffic signals design drawings and TR2500 forms
- A good understanding of the technologies and techniques used in traffic signal installations and a knowledge of the systems used such as MOVA & SCOOT, for both isolated sites and as a part of a wider network
- Experience of conducting Factory Acceptance and Site Acceptance tests
