Transaction Control Analyst – Contract Position
Venn Group are currently recruiting for a Transaction Control (Financial Crime) Analyst to join a reputable bank in London. This is a permanent position.
The purpose of this role is to put in place secure and robust frameworks across the first three lines of defence, securing the bank from any external Fraud, Sanctions, and Financial Crime-related breaches. This team is currently working to further protect its clients and itself through proactive and modern means, whilst mitigating any potential gaps in this framework.
The ideal candidate will be experienced working in Financial Crime or Anti-Fraud teams and will have a solid foundational understanding of banking environments and products.
It is imperative that the candidate can effectively communicate between the Front and Middle Office teams, as well as the Operations, Compliance, and Financial Crime teams; a coherent and coordinated effort will be required on a day-to-day basis, so applicants with excellent communication skills are encouraged to apply.
This role will also involve conducting second line reviews and audits, as well as high volumes of Sanctions Screening. Issues will need to be investigated and escalated as necessary, therefore requires individuals to be able to manage multiple converging deadlines on a regular basis.
It would be beneficial if applicants have experience investigating sanctions alerts, identifying false positives, and representing the team at inter-departmental meetings.
This is a challenging role that welcomes a proactive team player with a hands-on approach to working. Individuals who are able to take control of their own workload whilst acting as a team Subject Matter Expert, offering guidance to other team members, will be well suited to this position.
