Transactions Processing Assistant Immediately Required
Duration: Temporary at 3 months initially
Location: Walsall
Hours: Monday – Friday 09:00-17:00pm
Pay Rate: £14 - £15 per hour via Umbrella
An opening has arisen for a Transactions Processing Assistant within a Housing Association in Walsall. You will work with budget holders ensure that suppliers are paid in a timely manner and provide an effective administration service to the Transactions Team and wider Finance teams.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Register, scan and match purchase invoice, ensuring appropriate authorisation for payment
Has been obtained and to progress unapproved invoices to ensure compliance with payment
KPI
Administer purchase ledger in accordance with transactional procedures
Review sundry payment requests & support the preparation of the weekly sundry payment runs
Provide relevant back up for payment runs to ensure payments to suppliers are made in
accordance with agreed terms and Standing Orders
Undertake checks and processing as may be required in relation to refunds and account queries
Process transactions to cash books for all income and expenditure items when required
Maintain Standing Order/Direct Debit files/registers
Undertake supplier account reconciliations and solve any queries arising
Provide an effective administration service to the Transactions Team and wider Finance teams
Raise sundry debtor invoices as and when requested
The successful candidate will have:
Experience of working in an accounting/financial environment
Experience of purchase ledger & sales ledger
The ability to use IT software and packages proficiently including Microsoft packages (Excel, Word, Outlook & TEAMS)
