Travelling Communities Domestic Abuse Support Worker – Female Only

Venn Group are looking for a Female support worker to take on a permanent contract providing advice, practical and emotional support to Gypsy, Roma & Travelling Communities
Location: Wiltshire

Pay Rate: £23240 PA
Shifts: Monday to Friday – 21:00 – 07:00
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- To provide practical and emotional support to individuals and families who are subject, or have been subject, to domestic abuse
- To complete risk assessments and carry out effective safety planning with individuals
- Provide clients with information and ensure an enabling service so that the appropriate services can be accessed
- Actively work to establish multi-agency support network with the Gypsy, Roma and Traveller community
- Ensure that organisational administrative systems are accurately maintained and updated
The successful candidate will have:
- A valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle - business insurance will be required for roles involving travel to work
- Experience working with vulnerable adults and/or people with complex needs
- Knowledge and understanding of Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities, heritage and cultures
