Our client, a global organisation urgently require a Verification & Validation Manager for a permanent position.

Responsibilities:

• Approval of an appropriate suite of plans, standards and procedures for the V&V work, and the approval or rejection of requests to deviate from defined standards and procedures

• Provision of expert discipline advice in the selection, application and interpretation of standards

• Lead regular audits against management plans, standards and procedures

• Lead the decision making processes for exceptional activities or circumstances, and deviations

• Lead risk reviews, programme reviews and design reviews as required

• Line management & Programme Resourcing

• Conduct regular people management: team meetings, 1-1s, career discussions, mentoring, coaching

• Ensuring designs comply with approved management plans, using approved design methods, competent personnel, effective delivery systems and design processes

Skillset/experience required:

• Must be a confident people manager with demonstrable experience, previous people management experience is essential.

• Experience and background full understanding of systems engineering and delivering complex (safety) projects through the V model.

• Understanding of environmental qualification and test methods from Def Stan 00-35

• The understanding and experience of using Agile techniques.

• Good understanding of software test tools and script languages (e.g. Python).

• Experience to automated Test Benches

• Experience in text and calculation programs
