Role: Voice Services Project Manager
Type: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Location: East Midlands
A reputable public sector organisation local to East Midlands are looking for someone to support the effective scoping, planning, implementation, delivery & monitoring of the organisation of telephony replacement project, on a wider basis, in accordance with the PRINCE 2 project methodology.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Producing accurate and well-structured project documentation (incl. Project Brief, Project Initiation Document, Project Plans, End Stage Reports etc.) in line with PRINCE2 or Agile, developing work plans, schedules, and targets for projects.
- Monitoring, evaluating, and reviewing project progress on a regular basis in accordance with specified timescales. Identifying, tracking, managing, and resolving project issues and managing the controlled closure of projects, ensuring that the project provides the ability to deliver the benefits stated in the Business Case.
- Controlling and monitoring project expenditure ensuring that budgets and costs are identified and adhered to and, in doing so ensuring that the operational and financial objectives of the Trust are considered, making sure that the project complies with the Trust’s standing financial instructions and managing tendering and procurement processes in line with POISE and OJEU, where appropriate.
- Controlling project stages and ensuring prompt delivery of stages and projects. Reporting project progress to senior management and advising on options to address project issues, as they arise.
- Organising and chairing project planning and progress meetings, creating agendas and completing accurate minutes of meetings, and provide regular highlight reports to Project Boards and strategic groups.
- Overseeing project communication to ensure team members understand their roles and tasks, and key stakeholders are kept informed of project progress.
- Managing and allocating work of Project Co-ordinators to ensure that objectives are achieved, and resources and skills are utilised in the most effective and efficient manner, including co-ordinating the work of third-party suppliers, and negotiating contracts for the project.
The successful candidate will have:
- Substantial project management or equivalent and staff management experience, with at least one major telephony implementation project achieved.
- Understanding of network protocols including TCIP/IP, QOS and SIP.
- Minimum of PRINCE2 foundation. PRINCE2 Practitioner desirable or other relevant qualification.
- Must be educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Must have some information systems experience and the ability to apply it to relevant aspects of the project.
- Experience of using a PC with Microsoft software applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Ability to translate and communicate between technical and user issues to all staff groups.
- Ability to competently handle and interpret numerical data
