Job Opportunity – Workforce Business Partner
Venn Group are currently working on a position with a highly regarded healthcare organisation, based in Cambridgeshire, to source an Workforce Business Partner for the following assignment:

Location: Cambridgeshire (two days on-site, three remote)
Contract: 6 months
Rate: £225.00 per day umbrella
Hours: 37.5 per week
Your duties will include:
- Provide line-managers, and staff with professional, comprehensive and timely advice and support on complex, sensitive and contentious workforce issues including but not confined to employee relations matters such as sickness management, performance management, grievance, harassment and bullying, disciplinary issues, management of change and TUPE, with minimal supervision ensuring that organisational and legislative requirements are met and standards of good practice are maintained
- Lead on key workforce projects in conjunction with the Head of Employee Relations
- Providing HR advice on disciplinary and grievance cases
- Take a corporate role in developing, reviewing and implementing workforce policies and procedures taking into account legislation, good practice and guidance, working in partnership with the Staff Side
- Working in partnership with the Workforce Information team to ensure that relevant and timely workforce data is available to managers
- Support managers to produce an annual training needs assessment for their staff working with the organisations L&D team to identify learning opportunities to address any skills gaps
- Support the development and maintenance of effective and diverse communications between staff side, management, employees and key stakeholders
- Working closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
- Providing HR advice to a range of internal stakeholders on all HR and workforce matters
- Administering recruitment campaigns; gaining feedback from recruiting managers in a timely manner
- Participating in first stage interviews (as and when required) all whilst ensuring that the HR department complies with best practice and compliance including DBS/security vetting checks and Right to Work verification
- Preparing offer letters, contracts, and all other new starter documentation; pre-employment checks; conducting first day induction and 4-week check-in meetings
- Managing autonomously multiple concurrent HR projects across the organisation
The successful candidate should have:
- An ability to build relationships and communicate with people at all levels
- Experience of providing advice and support to managers at all levels in all key aspects of generalist HR and employee relations
- An up-to-date knowledge of employment law and HR best practice and the skills to apply and interpret this including data protection & security
- Skilled in writing reports, correspondence, and human resources processes/policies and guidance
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritise work
- Excellent HR administration skills with experience of managing, reviewing and updating processes throughout all stages of the employment lifecycle as outlined above
- A robust and resilient approach and the confidence to challenge and 'push back’ when required
