A nationally recognised disability Charity are looking for a Year End Accountant to deliver accurate statutory accounts to agreed timescales. They will be assisting the Finance Manager with audit schedules and assisting with year end notes.
Your duties will include:
- Advise the Finance Manager on year end related issues and developments
- Prepare the relevant schedules relating to fixed assets in accordance with SORP/FRS102
- Assist with the preparation of specific year-end notes
- Liaise with Auditors with regards to assigned year end items and ensure completion of related deliverables
- Carry out Balance Sheet reconciliations and identify required corrections
- Assist with the production of an accurate Charitable Income and Expenditure statement
- Ensure prior year audit recommendations are fully implemented and completed
- Manage the fixed asset register
- Be a key point of contact for external auditors
- Carry out analytical reviews as appropriate
- Support other members of the Accounts section in completing year end tasks where necessary
- Any other reasonable task to enable the successful completion of the year end audit as advised by the Finance Manager
The successful candidate MUST HAVE:
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
- Charity sector financial accounting experience (Essential)
- Experience producing statutory accounts
