Congratulations to Will Pardoe on his promotion to Manager of the Midlands Public Sector Legal team.
We spoke to Will about his career and motivations
What have stood out to you as highlights in your Venn Group career?
I’ve felt the most pride in watching consultants I have helped train progress into accomplished members of the team. From a personal perspective, I’m not sure if anything will eclipse winning our work darts night out. Either that, or becoming Manager.
What lessons have you valued from your management team?
It’s important not to lose perspective, in the good moments and the bad. I think we have to keep consistent in our approach and not get too carried away in the highs or too deflated in the lows.
What do you most enjoy doing when you’re not recruiting?
I can usually be found watching whatever live sport is on at the time. Football, cricket, F1, rugby, whatever it is. I’m an Aston Villa season ticket holder, but I’m not sure I’d class that as enjoyment…
In one year’s time, what would tell you that you’re succeeding in your role?
If my team are happy, it can’t have gone too far wrong! It’s a given that we will be judged on how well we perform, but that will stem from a happy and harmonious team.
