Case Study | Interim to Permanent Recruitment | University of Kent
Posted on March 2023
A trusted partner
University of Kent approached us exclusively to recruit a Finance Manager for Global & Life Long Learning, a critical role within their department. Having previously advertised for this role, they needed a recruitment partner to access the talent they weren’t reaching.
Priorities supported:
Retain a recruitment partner with a track record of success and know-how in the higher education market
Secure a candidate with solid management accounts expertise and proven leadership skills
Fulfil the role in a timely manner with an interim solution who would be able to take the position permanently if mutually appropriate
Create an effective resourcing campaign that would attract the desired talent
Experience applied:
Based on recommendations and the previous campaigns for the University, the client was confident in retaining our services as sole supplier to secure the position
Our established network in this sector enabled us to reach and approach unreached talent for this role
Created assessment criteria to match the client priorities and shortlist candidates accurately
Collaborated with the client prior to going to market to ensure we understood the parameters for movement and compromise in the specification
Outcomes achieved:
End to end recruitment process of two weeks from briefing to candidate start
Two candidates shortlisted and taken to interview, of which one was successful
Secured the successful candidate by initiating a hybrid workplace model that served both client and candidate
Candidate has now been retained permanently following their successful interim placement
We are proud to now be the trusted partner for University of Kent’s Dean and Director for all financial management recruitment
"Working with Venn Group has been a very professional and effective process, resulting in the allocation of high-quality staff. From the beginning of the process, onwards, Venn Group has supported our needs and advised us carefully and quickly so that our business needs could be closely met in a timely manner."
Dr. Anthony Manning, Director and Dean for Global & Lifelong Learning | University of Kent
