Empowering Employment Workshop | Elimu

Posted on May 2023

man and woman leading employability webinar at Black inclusion charity
We’re delighted to have hosted a CV writing webinar with our new social value partner, Elimu, for Black Inclusion Week.

Elimu works to mentor young people and create workplace cultures in which marginalised communities can thrive, and it was our privilege to provide vital employability skills for their patrons in their career search.

Alongside the session, attendees had the chance to submit their CVs to receive feedback and advice from our specialist consultants.

Thank you to Bolu Williams and Taran Ruprai for hosting the event, and to Lynette Nabbosa and all attendees for their warm welcome, we look forward to returning soon.

‘The CV webinar was a great opportunity for our young people to build their confidence by hearing directly from a recruitment firm that has knowledge of diverse job sectors. The real-life examples provided by Taran and Bolu brought life to the advice given, and made the session a lot more personable.

We have already seen the benefits with regards to young people being more confident and open about their CVs and the jobs they wish to go for. I have no doubt that the added benefit of getting personalised CV feedback will further develop their confidence and boost morale during the job hunting process. Thank you Venn Group!’

It’s fantastic to see our employability network growing from strength to strength to enable us to ensure inclusion is at the forefront of our business and recruitment approach. I’m looking forward to continuously working with Elimu, to support both of our visions on employment for all.’
