Our specialist housing recruitment team worked with a leading housing association to address challenges in building effective front-line and management teams. By gaining a clear understanding of the organisation’s values, culture, and long-term objectives, we delivered tailored recruitment solutions that ensured the right people were placed in the right roles.
This partnership not only improved workforce stability and performance but also supported the organisation’s wider goal of fostering stronger, more resilient communities.

The Challenge

Across a twelve month period, a trusted Housing Association dedicated to supporting individuals affected by homelessness, needed several new team members to replace anticipated staff turnover. They needed skilled professionals to rebuild and strengthen their team. These roles, ranging from frontline support workers to senior positions, required individuals with empathy, relevant experience, and a genuine passion for the mission. The organisation prioritised:

  • Candidates with lived or deep understanding of homelessness-related challenges.

  • Team players who could integrate smoothly into an existing cohesive unit.

  • Staff who could grow within the organisation, ideally transitioning from temporary to permanent roles.

Our Approach

  • The client came directly to us based on a successful, ongoing partnership and their confidence in our understanding of their needs. As their exclusive agency, we were able to act quickly and efficiently.

  • Fresh Searches & Trusted Network: We tapped into a mix of freshly sourced candidates and a bank of high-quality professionals we’d successfully worked with before.

  • Agility in Delivery: CVs were presented within 1-2 days, depending on the role. For each position, 30+ candidates were considered, with 2-3 shortlisted for interviews.

  • Trusted recruitment process: Thanks to our strong understanding of their culture and standards, our streamlined process led to fast, accurate placements.

  • Temp to Perm Strategy: All placements were made with long-term suitability in mind, often starting as temporary roles with a clear path to permanent employment.

Key Outcomes

  • Rapid Hiring: The process from CV submission to interview decision happened within days. All hires were made immediately after interviews.

  • Team Building Success: We built one of their regional teams and successfully replaced any staff who left.

  • Leadership Growth: A senior candidate we placed last year has since been promoted to Area Manager.

  • Candidate & Client Satisfaction: Both HR and the most recently placed permanent hire gave outstanding feedback on the process and support.

  • Ongoing Impact: Our temp placement is currently excelling, and a new permanent hire is set to join next month, continuing the cycle of strong, mission-driven hires.

“Would recommend to everyone. They helped me so much and are willing to help in any way possible.”
