Role: 2nd Line Support Engineer
Type: Temporary
Duration: Three Months Initially
Start date: ASAP
Pay rate: £121.28/day Outside IR35
Location: Birmingham City Centre
Key duties:
- Employ Active Directory and Group Policy to manage/configure user accounts
- Triage and resolve complex IT situations and issues, escalating when necessary
- Relay technical and functionality guidance to IT Users
- Resolve IT User issues over telephone, email, or via remote access
- Working knowledge of Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 10 operating systems
Required skills:
- Ability to communicate with staff and customers of all levels, relaying IT advice to non-technical persons
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft OS and MS Office applications
- Resolution of calls ranging from simple password resets to complex server queries
- To work as part of a close-knit and highly skilled team of Engineers
