Accounts Assistant and Credit Controller
We are looking for an adaptable and keen Accounts Assistant to join an exciting finance team at a reputable and creative Government institute. This is an unmissable opportunity to join the organisation at a time of growth with the prospect of a permanent position.
Location: Central London (office based initially)
Duration: Until 30th September (with potential to go permanent)
Responsibilities include:
- Maintain the computerised Sales / Purchase Ledgers
- Amending credit limits of Customer Accounts
- Crediting checking customers / Suppliers
- Allocating Receipts / Payments
- Controlling SL/PL contras
- Investigating Payments / receipts both posted and unposted
- Processing of E-Forms for new Customers
- Amending/updating customer information
- Supplier Statement Reconciliations
- Credit control duties
- Cash book posting and allocation
- Balance sheet reconciliation
Essential Requirements:
- 2+ years’ experience working in accounts/credit in a finance team
- Ability to pick up new computer systems quickly and be keen to learn
- Proficient in Excel and experience using computerised systems
- Knowledge of Integra would be useful but not essential
- Experience working for a large corporation or in local government preferred but not essential
- Highly organised and able to work to tight deadlines
- Must understand cashbooks/reconciliation/credits/accreditation
- Experience in finance/financial accounting
