Title: Accounts Payable Assistant
Location: Telford (Office based)
Job description: We are recruiting for an Accounts Payable Assistant position for a reputable organisation based in Telford. The purpose of the role is to support the Accounts team with sales and purchase ledger functions.
You will be responsible for:
- End-to-end purchase ledger functions including processing invoices, raising queries with colleagues and suppliers
- End-to-end sales ledger functions including raising invoices, answering customer queries & the sending of statements/ debt collecting
- Processing and maintaining the cash and petty cash handling
- Monthly bank reconciliations
- Processing company expenses
- Complete BACS and CHAPs payments
- Assist with month-end processes and journal posting
- Any reasonable ad hoc duties as required
The ideal candidate will:
- Good attentional to detail and accuracy
- Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger functions experience (one year minimum)
- Good written and communication skills
