Administrative Assistant
Duration: Temporary, 7 weeks
Location: Nottingham
Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours
Rate: £15.20 per hour via an umbrella company
Venn Group is currently recruiting for Administrative assistanton behalf of a reputable University based in Nottinghamshire. This is an interim contract for 7 weeks offering £15.20 per hour via an umbrella company. For this position, you will be working full-time hours (Monday to Friday).
Outline duties below:
• Responding to a range of enquiries from international students efficiently and with due care, diligence and sensitivity. This includes in person at the Student Services Centre (Newton) and the possibility of Clifton (TBC), by email and telephone
• Enquiries will be relating to enrolment procedures, opening bank accounts and helping students to settle in
• Taking requests for visa and immigration advice and referring to appropriate team members
• Raising awareness and referring new students to our welcome events
• Using MS Office 365, Banner, MS Dynamics to resolve and log enquires
• A good understanding of effective customer service practice and techniques for dealing with a diverse range of customer situations
• High level of IT literacy, with detailed knowledge and confidence in the use of IT systems to retrieve information and process customer transactions, including Word, Excel, Sharepoint, MS Teams, Dynamics
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to deal calmly, courteously and sensitively with customers at all times
• Ability to learn new processes and apply them consistently when delivering information and processing transactions for customers
• Ability to manage competing demands in a busy environment and respond flexibly to the differing daily demands
• Ability to understand complex customer concerns and refer appropriately
• Experience of handling challenging reception/enquiry desk enquiries
• An understanding of higher education student administration processes and information systems
• Educated to A level standard, or equivalent
