Job Title: Locum Adult Social Care Lawyer
Location: London – Hybrid Working of 2 days per week of Office Presence and Court Attendance
Salary: Up to £60 umbrella per hour dependent upon experience
Venn Group’s esteemed legal recruitment team have team up with a reputable London Local Authority in their search for an experienced Locum Adult Social Care Lawyer to join their ever growing team.
The role of Locum Adult Social Care Lawyer is offered on a 3 month basis with the potential for an extension. This position will allow the right person the opportunity to develop within the Local Authority and expand their legal repertoire.
The ideal candidate for this role will be a Qualified Barrister, Solicitor or Legal Executive (CILEx) with a proven tack record of successfully managing Adult Social Care legal matters within Local Government.
Duties shall Include:
1. Provide comprehensive legal services, covering both contentious and non-contentious matters
2. Offer expert advice on legal matters, responding proactively to potential judicial review threats
3. Handle applications in the Court of Protection and County Court displacement proceedings, ensuring legal accuracy and compliance
4. Draft a variety of legal documents, including pleadings and statements, addressing diverse issues within social care functions
5. Advise officers on service development, ensuring lawful implementation of changes in service delivery, with a focus on compliance with the public sector equality duty
