Assistant Contracts Manager

Venn Group are recruiting for an Assistant Contracts Manager to work within a leading infrastructure company on a permanent placement in their office based in Battle, East Sussex. This is a key role assisting the Senior Contract Managers team on a Monday to Friday basis (08:00 – 17:00). It is an exceptional opportunity for someone looking to further his or her career in construction, or even begin!
Requirements:
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ambition to begin a career in construction / infrastructure
- Ability to travel to Battle, East Sussex.
- Competence with IT skills
Responsibilities:
- To assist the Contract Manager to ensure works on are executed safely, to budget, on time and in line with all the Stakeholders expectations.
- To place any purchase orders as instructed by the Contract Manager or as otherwise required.
- To check delivery notes and approve invoices using the company’s intranet-based approval system.
- To assist the Contract Manager to ensure that all accidents and near misses are reported and investigated as required.
- To be able to establish and maintain good working relationships with staff, The Clients and suppliers.
