Permanent Associate Director for Drug and Alcohol Treatment Services
Our client, a prestigious support provider in the South West urgently requires an accomplished Associate Director to lead their young persons, families and carers treatment services.
Location: South West (Working from home/hybrid working included)
Contract duration: Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours

Salary: £50,000
Day to day responsibilities include:
- Take a strategic lead in development of the organisation’s clinical capabilities and expertise in relation to the drug and alcohol support services and treatment services across the organisation
- Provide advice and support to the Treatment Services Director on clinical matters, and upskill the Treatment Services leadership team
- Provide leadership and support through service set up, change or development
- Lead the young people’s drug treatment services as well as families and carers
- Bring robust clinical knowledge and leadership to the organisation as a whole
- Provide targeted support to Directors, especially during periods of service set up, change or development
- Take operational responsibility for all aspects of the drug and alcohol services including enhancements and improvements to service
- Ensure policies, procedures and working practises are being met and develop the quality standards to clinical activities
- Promote and represent the organisation to commissioners, councillors and other key stakeholders
- Work closely with the CEO and Chief Executive to develop the delivery of the services and participate in the monitoring and reporting of progression of operational targets
- Prepare and present verbal and written reports for the Treatment Services Director, Executive or Board as required
- Manage and monitor resources in line with budgetary requirement
- Directly line manage staff and provide guidance and support to team leaders and managers
Essential criteria include:
- Senior level experience working within the drug and alcohol treatment sector
- Understanding of clinical practices, relevant guidelines and drug and alcohol treatment services
- Ability to build and develop strategic relationships, influencing and negotiating with a wide range of stakeholders and partners to achieve outcomes
- Proven track record of consistent and demonstrable leadership
