Building Surveyor

Job Title: Building Surveyor

Venn Group has been approached by a local housing association in Tyneside to recruit for a Building Surveyor on a temporary ongoing basis.

As the successful candidate you will have experience working as a Surveyor within Social Housing that has worked previously on structural surveying and damp and mould 

The duties will include:

• Carry out 4 surveys per day to identify and assess issues relating to building defects and damp and mould 
• Complete damp and mould surveys and raise necessary orders for completion of works 
• Liaise with in house teams and contractors 
• Use PDA systems to log works 
• Effectively manage time in order to complete and maintain accurate reports and administrative duties 
• Carry out post inspections ensuring all work has been completed correctly  

Essential Skills/Qualifications:

• Degree or HNC/HND in a relevant field i.e the built environment  
• Experienced in working with SoR codes 
• Proficient in using IT equipment and software such as computers and tablet devices 
• Experience in Social Housing 
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team
• Full UK Driving Licence 

Desirable Skills/Qualifications:

• Qualifications in Damp and Mould
