Interim Commissioning Manager – Children’s Social Care
Location: London, hybrid working
Length: 3 months initially
IR35 Status: Inside
A brilliant opportunity has arisen for an Interim Comissioning Manager within Children’s Social Care to primarily lead on the implementation of a new DPS and manage provider performance.
Key responsibilities of the Interim Commissioning Manager will include:
- Delivering the new commissioning strategy and providing key support on Children’s Health and Social Care provider issues
- Managing priorities for provider development and improvement and specific performance and efficiency targets and plans to deliver these
- Updating last years’ sufficiency data analysis and insight
- Managing communication with the market on new procurement system
- Supporting the brokerage team with any contract negotiations that may arise
Experience and skills required from Interim Commissioning Manager:
- Demonstrable experience in Children’s Social Care Commissioning, ideally care leaver placements or children in care, within a local government setting
- Experience of delivering strategies to reduce spend or create efficiencies
- Experience of successfully using a range of methods to influence and negotiate with suppliers and contractors and of successfully challenging and driving commercial benefits from the entire contracting process
