About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to lead statutory compliance and building safety across a diverse corporate property portfolio. This hands-on interim role is pivotal in ensuring legal obligations are met, risks are mitigated, and best practice frameworks are embedded throughout the estate.
You’ll work closely with Facilities Management, contractors, and internal teams to audit, specify, and manage compliance-related projects. From technical inspections to policy development, your expertise will shape the Council’s approach to property safety and resilience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead statutory compliance audits and site inspections.
- Develop and implement technical service policies and management plans.
- Manage compliance-related projects from specification to delivery.
- Act as Responsible Person for Water Hygiene, Asbestos, M&E Safety, Lifts, and Pressure Systems.
- Support mobilisation of new properties and supplier engagement.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
- Maintain asset registers and CAFM system data integrity.
About You
- Degree-qualified in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Chartered or working towards chartership (CIBSE, CIOB, IOSH, IIRSM).
- Strong operational M&E background and project management experience.
- Proficient in CAFM systems and compliance software.
- Excellent communicator with a proactive, detail-oriented approach.
