Credit Control Assistant
Location: London/Remote Working
Length of contract: Permanent
A Central Government department is seeking a highly communicative Credit Control Assistant to focus on supporting the Ledgers Supervisor with the management of Debtors and provide internal financial services across the purchase and sales ledgers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Focus on supporting the Ledgers Supervisor with the management of ensuring Debtors do not turn into bad debts
- Provide timely and accurate reporting and working with a 3rd party debt collection agency when needed
- Assist the Ledgers Supervisor in providing internal financial services across the purchase and sales ledgers, supporting and liaising with internal budgets holders and customers
- Maintain the computerised sales/Purchase Ledgers
- Amend credit limits of customer accounts and credit checking customers/suppliers
- Development and monthly distribution of bad debt reports and allocating receipts/payments
- Audit and process procurement card transactions
- Assist in month/year end task
- Purchase orders system matching, and processing supplier payment runs for all companies
- Supplier invoice/credit note registration
- Control SL/PL contras
- Investigate payments/receipts both posted and unposted
- Processing of e-forms for new customers/suppliers and amend/update customer/supplier information and statement reconciliations
Key Requirements:
- Robust experience with Microsoft Excel, including strong ability with sourcing of data and pivot tables
- Good numeric skills including an understanding of financial accounting
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft and a high standard of Finance accounting systems
- Proven experience in a similar role, including previous credit control experience
- Good organisational skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines and targets whilst working in a busy environment
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to deal effectively and staff/customer/supplier at all levels
