Data Protection Compliance Officer – Onsite (Perm)

A position has arisen for a Data Protection Compliance Office within a well-regarded Trust in Cornwall. The successful candidate will be responsible for raising awareness and providing expert advice, training, and support to the Senior Officers and other colleagues.
Location: Cornwall (Onsite)
Permanent, Full Time
Salary: £20,000 - £21,000
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Identify and mark information in the records which will be released to outside agencies (restricting information where appropriate), adhering to the Data Protection Act 2018 and Access to Health Records Act 1990.
- Ensure requests are correctly completed and raise the necessary paperwork
- Receive, log and action any incidences of misfiled personal identifiable information
- Communicate with patients/requestors in person or by telephone regarding the progress of an application
Essential Experience:
- 2 years in general Health Records or related area within an Acute Hospital or equivalent experience of working in an Office providing an administrative function
