Delivery Manager - Active Travel

An opportunity has arisen for a Delivery Manager to oversee the technical activities involved in delivering a £60m Active Travel Programme.
This is a newly created role which will see you overseeing multiple projects and ensuring their successful delivery. This will involve providing assurance on business cases, chairing design panel reviews and providing high-quality technical input into scheme development activities.
The position would be ideally suited to a technical expert with excellent stakeholder management skills and a passion for sustainable transport.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Programme and support an estimated annual spend of around £20m
- Provide technical leadership to develop, shape, and deliver multidisciplinary technical solutions across sustainable transport within complex urban environments.
- Build strategic relationships with colleagues, local authorities and funding bodies
- Support affordable delivery of the programme schedule and budget, commissioning consultants, professional services suppliers, and contractors
- Prepare reports for senior management, elected members, committees, and boards
About you:
- Experience delivering large-scale, technically complex engineering projects
- An understanding of standards related to sustainable transport
- Experience in commissioning technical services through procurement
- An appropriate degree-level qualification or equivalent, such as Civil Engineering
