Job Title: Locum Education and SEND Lawyer
Location: Hybrid Working Pattern of Part Time or Full Time
Salary: Up to £60 umbrella per hour dependent upon experience
Venn Group’s specialist legal team are currently working with a reputable Local Authority in Greater London in the search for a Locum Education and SEND Lawyer to join their dynamic and growing team
The role of offered on a locum basis for 3-months with the strong possibility of an extension, judged on a case-by-case basis. The role is offered on a full or part time basis with flexibility on working routines
The ideal candidate will be a Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of CILEx entitled to practice law in England and Wales with recent experience of working within Local Government in Education and SEN
Duties shall include:
- Sole Legal Advisor for SEND Matters: Provide exclusive legal advice for all Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) matters within the Local Authority
- Tribunal Appeals Management: Manage a substantial caseload of tribunal appeals related to SEND, ensuring effective representation and compliance with legal requirements
- Advocacy Responsibilities: Handle advocacy duties in SEND-related cases, representing the Local Authority to ensure the best interests of the organization in tribunal proceedings
This role of Locum Education and SEND Lawyer comes with a rate of up to £60 umbrella per hour dependent upon experience and is offered on a full or part time basis.
