Estates Officer
Location: Exeter, Devon
Length: Temp – Perm
Hours: 37.5 hours a week, Mon – Fri
Main responsibilities of the role:
- Support the Head of Estates to ensure the building/electrical/mechanical equipment is maintained to statutory and mandatory standards
- Ensure the delivery of planned, reactive, emergency maintenance and minor works in agreed timescales providing a safe and secure environment for all staff and service users
- Responsible for maintaining and refining the planned preventative maintenance, repair and replacement programmes, minor projects work, and ensuring that current legislation, regulations and safe systems of work are adhered to
- Undertake PPM planning and contracts and service delivery management
- Authorised Person duties (LV/HV, water, lifts, ventilation, medical gas, asbestos, critical systems or pressurised systems)
- Ensure that permits to work are in place and adhered to so that contractors and colleagues work safely at all times
- Monitor budgets and control costs to ensure that all works are completed to agreed time limits and within financial constraints
- Oversee installation and upgrade projects
- Assist with the preparation and collation of tender documents
Essential requirements:
- You will have an all-round knowledge of M&E plant, HV & LV systems, BMS systems, Air Conditioning (FCU/AHU), HVAC, Plumbing, Lighting, Small installation, Emergency lighting tests, Chillers, Water treatment etc
- You will hold a degree or equivalent level of knowledge acquired through courses and experience in construction or engineering subject
- Hold a full, UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle
