An exciting position has arisen for a Financial Accounts Officer to join a large multi-entity Charity, to provide critical support to their financial accounting function.
Job Responsibilities:
- Reconciling and managing accounting inputs for bank accounts, petty cash and balance sheet control accounts across various entities
- Working with accuracy and in line with month-end and year-end timetables
- Conducting banking reviews for individual cost centres and liaise with regional accounting teams to resolve any issues that emerge in the banking review process
- Supporting regional accounting teams on bank account related queries
- Working with the banking providers to resolve practical issues such as lost banking and unpaid cheques
- Preparing and posting journals for adjustments arising from bank reconciliation differences to ensure the accuracy of the data on the systems
- Assisting the Management Accountant with the posting of regular regional journals
- Assisting the wider finance team to close month end in a robust and timely manner to ensure the successful achievement of the financial timetable
- Assist in the production of audit files at the mid-year point and at year-end ensuring timely and accurate data provision to support relevant reporting schedules engaging proactively with the internal and external auditing team
Essential Profile:
- AAT Level 4 qualification (desirable)
- Previous experience reconciling multiple bank accounts
- Experience working in a busy complex finance environment
- Excellent communications skills – written and verbal
Salary: £32.2k per annum + excellent benefits
Length: Permanent
Working Pattern: 2 days per week in office / 3 days per week from home
Hours: 35 per week
