Financial Wellbeing Coach
A support provider based in Powys is looking for a highly motivated and empathic Financial Wellbeing Coach to provide assistance for ex-offenders in a supported living environment. The post holder will provide a necessary and valuable service to the community and help vulnerable service users transform their lives in a positive and productive direction by
Location: Powys, Wales
Contract duration: 3 Months +
Hours: Monday – Friday 37.5 hrs
Hourly rate: Negotiable dependant on experience
Day to day responsibilities include:
- Advise and support ex-offenders who are experiencing money problems via face-face meetings, telephone calls, or email
- Contribute and record any updates on the local case work system
- Identifying and dealing appropriately with emergency financial situations
- Complete debt advice processes with clients; providing advice on a range of debt solutions and strategies and help to implement them
- Provide advice on welfare benefit matters such as: benefit checks, sanctions, applications, mandatory reconsiderations, and appeals
- Identifying issues relating to the client’s financial health but also other relevant factors e.g. housing, mental health, physical health or disability, carers, family matters
Essential criteria include:
- Current enhanced DBS (within the past 12 months)
- Experience of working within supported or social housing, property management or care/criminal justice setting
- Access to a vehicle (travel expenses covered)
