Fire Safety Surveyor

NEW OPPORTUNITY
We are working with a Local Authority in the East of England outside London, seeking a Housing Asset Fire Safety Surveyor to provide expert fire safety advice and oversee compliance across housing assets.

Start: ASAP
Working Arrangement: Hybrid weekly
Rate: Negotiable Hourly/Daily (Inside IR35)
Duration: 3-6 Months initially

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert fire safety advice and support across housing assets, ensuring compliance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and Building Safety Regulations.
• Undertake Fire Risk Assessment validations and manage remedial works, including fire door installations.
• Conduct feasibility studies and contribute to planned maintenance and refurbishment programmes.
• Manage budgets, procurement, and contractor performance for fire safety works.
• Liaise with stakeholders, residents, and regulatory bodies to promote fire safety best practice.

Key Requirements:

• HNC in Surveying or equivalent qualification; NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management desirable.
• Extensive knowledge of fire safety legislation, CDM regulations, and health & safety compliance.
• Experience in contract and project management within housing or building maintenance.
• Strong technical and communication skills with ability to produce specifications and reports.
