CAT D&C = £11.96 per hour PAYE or £15.39 LTD
CAT D only = £11.29 per hour PAYE or £14.50 LTD
We’re recruiting for a Fleet Operative, reporting to the Fleet Operation Supervisor, responsible for providing a transport service, which includes driving a variety of military and civilian vehicles, on and off road.
Main Tasks
-
To transport eligible personnel and/or equipment to and from the appropriate training exercise or other entitled military duty and ensure their safe carriage

To drive any one of the multi-disciplined vehicles including the PSV & LGV fleet

Complete Before, During and After Use Checks

Perform Level 1 maintenance tasks

Complete department administrative tasks when required

Deal with the day to day customer queries in a professional, positive and enthusiastic manner
-
Contribute towards the continuous improvement of the Fleet department
-
Ensure health, safety and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures are complied with at all times
-
Responsible for supporting continuous improvement within the department and contribution towards the RSME contracts continuous improvement targets

Comply with all Quality Assurance processes and procedures

Deputise for others in your department

Complete any other tasks that are deemed within your area of competence
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
-
Educated to GCSE level or equivalent (including Maths & English)
-
Experience working with multi-categorised fleet including PSV, HGV; holding UK driving license Categories: C or C+E and; D1 or D
Desirable:
-
ADR (Carriage of Dangerous Goods)
-
Experienced Plant Operator or Crane Operator or Lorry Mounted Loader operator.

Qualified First Aid at Work

Qualified IOSH Working Safely

Experience working within military motor transport regulations
