An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Litigation Lawyer to join a reputable local authority in the South West, starting as soon as possible.
This is a full or part-time position for an initial duration of 3 months whilst the client undertakes permanent recruitment. The ideal candidate would be a qualified Solicitor who is able to handle a full caseload of criminal prosecutions and regulatory matters. Some knowledge of civil litigation is beneficial. Local authority experience is desirable, though candidates with relevant experience coming from a private background will also be considered.
Duties may include:
- Managing a full and varied caseload of criminal and civil litigation proceedings including licensing, enforcement and anti-social behaviour matters
- Reviewing work to ensure everything is completed to a high standard
- Advocating in court on behalf of the local authority
- Writing and preparing court documentation
Predominantly remote working is available, with court attendance required monthly. An hourly rate of approximately £55 per hour umbrella is offered for this position.
