Head of Clinical Systems – Permanent
Venn Group are currently working with an esteemed NHS organisation in the South East on an exciting and innovative opportunity to support the Deputy Director of IT in managing the delivery of the EPR systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing technical support for all trust clinical application systems and resolve incidents and issues
- Managing the EPR Release and other Support Application Testing failures
- Liaising with the Project Teams ensuring all areas of testing are covered and support arrangements are in place to ensure a smooth roll-out of changes
- Provide reports to the executive on the progress of Developments against Business Requirements
- Managing the Configuration Strategy and the Testing Strategy for the release of COMSIC upgrades and any other system upgrades under the control of the Application Support Team
- Playing an active part on the Change Advisory Board and to ensure that the Application Support team is always represented at the appropriate level
- Providing day to day line management of the Application Support Team
- Prioritising the workload of the Application Support Team in line with the issues affecting clinical staff and patient care
- Ensuring that the PRINCE 2 methodology is adopted for all projects being undertaken
Ideal skills and experience required will include:
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in the Healthcare industry
- An understanding of the importance of Electronic Patient Records within the NHS
- Experience supporting the Microsoft back office platforms
- Demonstrating analytical and judgmental skills in relation to the organisation’s highly complex systems integration and development environment
- The ability to ensure relevant IT resources are in place to support the Trust in its compliance with government initiatives such as RTT pathways
- Experience in formal integration with patient representatives and the general public at various IT project forums
Duration: Permanent
Location: Essex
Salary: Band 8C, £63,751 - £73,644 per annum + 5% HCAS
